She died today, early twenties, just had her first baby. She got to hold it, but doesn't know it. The baby will see pictures of her with the mom, but never know her. The family wasn't even functional enough to be classified dysfuntional. Live for today must have been the lifestyle, but I can't stand in judgement of her because she has paid for it. And now the baby will. My unit is not a area where we see much of this, but as she died another rolled in, pregnant and on the vent. We pray for a better outcome. There's always hope, but always reality is too close.
